Southern Maryland Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Framework
This portal is currently under active engineering and is not fully functional yet. Data sources, automated scrapers, and live feeds are actively being connected and calibrated. This section may evolve into an independent sister site in the future.
Southern Maryland
Open Source Intelligence Wire
A centralized, non-partisan monitoring layer for Southern Maryland civic data. Designed to ingest public safety alerts, Naval Air Station Patuxent River defense advisories, NOAA maritime warnings, MDOT infrastructure updates, and county agency records into a unified feed.
St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office (FirstSheriff.com)
Core Intelligence Domains (Roadmap)
Planned automated ingestion sources being integrated into the pipeline.
Public Safety & First Responders
Active ingestion from St. Mary's County Sheriff (firstsheriff.com), expanding to Calvert Sheriff, Maryland State Police Barracks T & U, and volunteer fire dispatch.
NAS Pax River & Defense
Tracking public NAVAIR / NAWCAD press releases, SAM.gov Pax River defense contract awards, FAA military airspace NOTAMs (R-4005 / R-4006), and Webster Field testing advisories.
Maritime & Waterways
NOAA tidal telemetry for the lower Potomac, Patuxent River, and Chesapeake Bay, USCG Sector Maryland-NCR local notices to mariners, and commercial seafood advisory bulletins.
Civic & Road Infrastructure
MDOT SHA roadwork and real-time camera alerts (Route 4, Route 235), Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge status notices, and Calvert & St. Mary's County Commissioner hearing dockets.
Southern Maryland Public Record Quick Lookups
While our automated crawler and feed ingestion is under construction, voters, journalists, and researchers can use these direct official gateways:
Official court record docket search across St. Mary's and Calvert District & Circuit courts.
Look up property ownership, land assessments, deed transfers, and tax records for any parcel.
Official campaign contribution reports, donor disclosures, and expenditure filings for MD candidates.
Official county zoning, election district boundaries, critical areas, and elevation mapping layers.
Calvert parcel viewer, road networks, master plan layers, and commissioner district overlays.
Live traffic conditions, traffic camera feeds, and incident closures across MD Route 4 and MD Route 235.
How this portal is being architected
This module is purposely isolated inside its own application domain. It leverages the existing lightweight scheduled pipeline that powers OpenElections SoMD, meaning it incurs no heavy server overhead on the Azure hosting tier. When development matures, this platform can either continue as an integrated tab or be cloned into a dedicated independent domain (e.g., somdosint.com) with zero disruption to the election candidate matrix.
